there is a question that when i get asked...

well i sort of clam up and cringe because
i never NEVER come up with an answer...

that question is: "what is your favorite flick?!"...

this question boggles the brain...

like my music i am just {almost} as obsessed
with all the movies my eyes come across...

and in the rare occasion a movie comes along
that i think just may finally be the answer to
that question that has gilded me for so long...

well then i get asked once more and again i am just
at a complete and total loss to answer back just one...

and oh so vary rare is it that a movie will come along
and will not only provide incredible viewing but a stop
dead in your tracks out of this world soundtrack as well...

and so for today's tune it in i thought i would share with you
a movie that did just that and i demand that if you have
yet to see this movie that you go out and rent it N O W...

'cept if language is a deal breaker for you cause it is
somewhat of a foreign film and you know how they
likey to use the cursin words and like.whoa they do...

and i am fairly certain hopefull that when you do see this
movie you will fall completely in love with the music too...

and that movie you ask?!?!
well it is this special one...

{at least.maybe twice}

the movie is about the two above...
music is their common ground and well...
well you'll just have to see it to know more...

but oh my friends...

there are so SO many songs on this lp
that just absolutely speak to my heart...

the soundtrack is made up entirely of
their songs and it is just perfection...

and glen hansard's voice is like butta...

oh, and i think that the next time i get asked
that unavoidable question i may just find
myself answering back with a "once"...

so i want to share with you my four favorites
from the album and i SO SO SO encourage
you to pause the player over ----> there...
and listen to all four because O H M Y G O S H...

the songs are just so so SOOOO powerful...

so when my girl katie asked me to put

she is sporty yet chic....

and being that she is super model

gorgeous.tall.and thin doesn't hurt either...

she can pull of any look effortlessly...

gorgeous and effortlessly perfect...

i have to say i am not that girl...

and i have finally come to accept and own that...

but still...

so now here i am...
however many hours later feeling
totally nauseous because i am full of
nothing but the desires of augustus gloop...

i hear a well balanced lunch of starbucks

i'll be sure to eat some celery too...

so before i get to a quick weekend wrap.up...

i had gotten from inquirers wanting to know

friday night ms.brittney and i went on
a sisterly date to buffalo.wild.wings cause
we are both on a severe chicken kick...

and then we saw the lameness that
was the new flick the stepfather...

i had such high hopes that dr.macnamara
and dan humphrey could pull off a great
suspense together but it just was so very
s l o w and really only had about ten decent
minutes of fun and spooky suspense...

so saturday we made up for it by renting and
watching in the midnight dark the remade
friday the thirteenth and i have to say
that outside of the overdose of what seems
to be the new way to do re.creates of scary
movies {ahem.toomuchladieschests.ahem} it
was exactly what you want from an it's
october and halloween is coming so gimmie
the bloods.guts.and machete.induced.gore...

i have never been one to really get
into the halloween "spirit" i guess
you could say and i've never.ever
been one for scary movies...
i'mean i watch em. but i don't go
out of my way to make sure i see em...

and growing up there was only ONE...

one gruesome villian that would have
me cowarering in my rainbow bright sheets...
the fedora wearing and now completely harmless
{until his new movie comes out in february}
character that now when i see i just smile cause
it brings back those childhood memories...

so this weekend amongst the pumpkin carving
and seed baking {never done this but gonna attempt}

nothing short of completely laughable...

well it'll just be a good reason to chow

wow friends...

no matter how long i am part of
this amazing blog world i will never
get over the amazing support that
y'all provide and give daily...

it is just so so incredible...

i plan on attending one of the best
cosmetology academies around
in the late spring early summer...

but i don't want to say where just
yet as you have to interview to
be accepted and ya'know there is
that whole jinxing thing that goes around...

soooooo until i get that out of the
way and it is all secured and set
in ink and aubergine tipped sissors...

i have known for quite some time years now
that all things hair was my true calling and
just to know that it is going to start coming to
fruition right around the corner has me ecstatic!!

this past summer i started cutting and coloring
my own hair after i had been totally and completely
unsuccessful in finding someone who will actually
LISTEN to what i tell them i am looking to have done...

so i took split.end.matters into my own hands
since i happen to be not only a great listener...
but also know exactly what it is i want and expect...

i know crazy right?!?

i cannot tell you
{but my amazing hair twin and kristen can}
how often i get stopped about my hair...

where or who i go to...
if and where i am a stylist...
and if i can do their hair...

it kills me that i cannot push a card right into their hands...

and that i have to explain every time
that what i do daily just comes from
years of absolute muscle memory...

my hands just know what to do
to make me a happy happy gal...

cause uh.yeah...
as i have said many a'time before...

my hair is my numero uno accessory...

it is what i base everything else that
i put on around and the bigga the betta!!

yesterday upon stepping out of the shower
i decided to declare the day 'haircut thursday'...

since like a one ms.roberts once famously said...

and grabbed my shears and got to hackin away...

it came out a little shorter

of all different shapes colors and lenghts...

but i just don't have use for one all that much...

so i like to splurge on amazing sweaters and boots!!!

ooohh....booots....mmmmm....

anyway...

yes i like to splurge on more useful treasures

and just keep it simple with one amazing coat to

rock for both the goingouts and work...

my coat last year was nothing short of amazing...

but it is is just a tad swallowing on me this year my friends...

recently fallen {HARD} for...

like.whoa friends i am completely smitten...

they are in no way shape or form
new to the scene but i will admit
i was quick to shooshoo them away
because i am not usually 'down'
with the actors that try to do crossovers...

which is silliness because so so many
these days don't define themselves
by one art or the other it is just both...

the guy who took ninties self.loathing grunge

so it was just hard for me to fathom that
his band could be anything more than mediocre...

that is their twothousandfive released album...

just ask my poor sister who has to hear
